The restoration of a 1920s Edwardian home within a Heritage Conservation Area in East Orange.

When we purchased the property back in 2018, it was dilapidated, neglected, and riddled with rising damp - a challenging starting point by any measure.

Over an extensive renovation, restoration and addition, we were able to bring the house back to life. We retained the original facade and carefully restored a number of heritage features, including the original front door, stained glass windows, fireplaces, and the bullnose roof and verandah.

Alongside the restoration, we added a contemporary, light-filled living and dining space designed for the way families live today — balancing the home's period character with modern comfort and function.

This project is one we know intimately: it's now our own home.
